Locations for your Senior Session

One important part of senior photographs (or any photographs really) besides the subject in the photograph is the background. You might wonder why this is important though. To be honest a location is more than just a background for photos. It can set a mood for the portraits you're about to take. It can inspire creativity... or have the opposite effect. That's why I always like to have some fun location options for all my seniors depending on their personalities and wants for their portraits. Want to hear some of my top locations?

Fields & Flowers

One of my favorite locations for seniors is fields. That's right, you heard me. Fields. This kind of natural background creates some very natural and earthy vibes, and when you add some wildflowers in there for the gals *chef's kiss* it makes a stunning backdrop! Whether for my senior gals or guys fields can definitely work to make some amazing portraits.

Architecture & Walls

Fences, a brick wall, a mural, or a cool building. This one is a great one and can be very versatile. Whether you want the architecture to be a highlight in the photo or if you just want it for the background, it often makes a picture pop! And what's so great about this kind of location is that it can really be found anywhere and even if it doesn't look remarkable or noteworthy at first glance it can usually be turned into a fabulous background!

Cafes

Cafes, bookstores, and small unique restaurants, all of these work well for some dreamy or classic vibes and can give you a really unique look to your photographs.
